If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, I encourage you to check it out. I post about once a week, and you can subscribe via email. (I also share on social media when a new post goes up, so don't worry too much about subscribing). Click here to check it out!

Click below to go to the group. It's closed (so we can have LOTS of fun), so you'll have to request to join. I promise I'll let you in! :)
Necessary Risk is a finalist for the Heart of Excellence Award in the Romantic Suspense category! All of the finalists are such talented writer that it's an honor to be included. Go Sierra and Sean! <3
You. Guys. I'm so excited to be able to share the cover for Stripped with you! Stripped is the first book in my brand spanking new romantic suspense series, and it comes out in April of 2018. Think Magic Mike meets 21 Jump Street ;)
All three books in the Blood and Glory series will be available in audio! I don't have any further details, but I'm super excited that Dirty Boxing, Take Down, and No Contest will all be sold as audiobooks. I'll share more information when I have it.
My upcoming release, Dirty Boxing (co-written with the fabulous Harper St. George) got a shout out in XOXO After Dark's latest vlog on must read sports romances! Check out the video for a little bit about Dirty Boxing, as well as other recommended reads! Want to pre-order for only $1.99? I've got you covered:
Unwrapped is a boxed set featuring four holiday-themed novellas, including two of mine: When Snowflakes Fall, and Like Fresh Fallen Snow. While each can be read as a standalone, they feature twin brothers Luke and Matt Grayson (who re-appear in Until the Sun Sets), who each find love around the holidays. If you haven't read these novellas before, this is a fantastic chance to grab them both!
I'm thrilled to share that I'll be participating in the Romance Writers of America's second anthology! This is a short story collection, and as you may have guessed from the title, all the stories (from across different romance sub-genres) feature a second chance romance.
My story is called Reload, and features an ex-husband (a Brit who works for MI-5) and wife (an American who works for the CIA), who are reunited on a mission to recover a stolen biological weapon. It's fun, fast, and sexy. Click the cover for more information!
I'm so excited to share that Necessary Risk (book #1 in the Bodyguard series) is the winner of the Golden Quill Award for Best First Book! As well, Primal Instinct (book #2 in the Bodyguard series) is the winner of the National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Award for Best Romantic Suspense. If you're curious, click the images for more information about these smokin' hot bodyguards!
Did you know that the Bodyguard books are available as audiobooks? Click the covers below to listen to a sample!
I have a confession.
My name is Tara Wyatt, and I am a writing contest ho. I just can't help myself. I'm not sure if it's my competitive streak, or my honor roll student mentality, but when I see a romance writing award, I can't help but enter. It was this way before I was published, and has continued since.
This *might* be me:
So please bear with me while I squee for, like, 25 seconds.
I just found out this weekend that Necessary Risk WON the Golden Quill Award for Best First Book, and that Primal Instinct is a finalist for the National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Award in the romantic suspense category! Necessary Risk is also currently a finalist for the Booksellers' Best Award in the Best First Book category. *eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
(Was that 25 seconds? Ish? I got distracted by the pictures...)
Sean and Colt are *very* pleased. ;)
Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to share that Necessary Risk is a finalist for the Booksellers' Best Award in the Best First Book category! The award ceremony will be held at the RWA national conference in Orlando in July--yet another reason to be excited about the upcoming conference! Below is a full list of the finalists. Maybe you'll find a few new titles for your TBR pile?
I have some exciting news! I just found out that Necessary Risk is a finalist for a Golden Quill Award for Best First Book! I'm so thrilled with the way people are connecting with Sean and Sierra's story.
I'm so excited to finally be able to share some fun news with you. I'll have a new series coming out in 2018!!! It's romantic suspense, like the Bodyguard series, but this time features a team of elite undercover detectives in Atlanta. The first book is called Stripped, and the tentative pub date is April 2018. I've included the official announcement here.
AAHHHHH, I'm so excited!! I've wanted to write this project for a long time, and I'm really happy it found a home.
I'm super excited to share that Necessary Risk placed first in the NECRWA Readers' Choice contest, tying with Guiding Fate by Tamra Lassiter for best romantic suspense! I was completely shocked when I found out (by word of mouth from a friend who was at the conference!) and very, very happy. I'm so thrilled that people are connecting with Sean and Sierra's story.
I'm off to pop some champagne!
I'm super excited to share that Necessary Risk is a finalist for the New England Reader's Choice Award. This is special for me, because when I started writing several years ago, the very first contest I ever finaled in (back in 2014) was the First Kiss Contest for unpublished authors, sponsored by the same RWA chapter. I entered Off Guard (the book that would become Necessary Risk), and I was beside myself when I found out I'd finaled. (Your first time's always special, isn't it?)
So, entering Necessary Risk as a published book and finaling in the Reader's Choice Award feels like coming full circle in a way, you know?)
Anyway, just wanted to share the exciting news, as I wouldn't be doing any of this without you guys, my readers. Stay tuned, as I'll be updating this space with some more exciting news soon (cover reveals! a new series!).
